ZapCat sends real-time SMS notifications to business owners when someone submits a contact form or service request on their website. This page explains how consent is collected, how phone numbers are used, and what types of messages are sent.
When a visitor fills out a contact or request form on a ZapCat-connected website, they voluntarily provide information such as their name, email, and phone number to the business.
Businesses display consent language near the submit button, such as:
“By submitting this form, you agree to be contacted by text message regarding your request. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”
This consent is strictly between the visitor and the business they are trying to reach. ZapCat does not send messages directly to consumers and never makes phone calls.
ZapCat sends SMS notifications only to the business owner or service provider, not to consumers.
These notifications may include:
The purpose of each SMS is to notify the business that a new website request or inquiry has been received so they can respond promptly.
ZapCat does not:
Business owners consent to receive ZapCat notifications when they create a ZapCat account and provide their mobile phone number during onboarding.
During signup, ZapCat discloses that:
This constitutes online consent in line with CTIA and carrier requirements.
For website visitors
Visitors may ask a business to stop contacting them at any time, for example by replying STOP to messages sent by that business. ZapCat does not send SMS messages to consumers and does not control those conversations.
For business owners
Business owners receiving ZapCat notifications can:
Message frequency depends on how many website inquiries the business receives through its online forms.
